Cat Spring Candles LLC began production in 2000 as a hobby for its original owner. The candles were poured in her kitchen and given to family and friends. Word spread quickly - first in the rural areas of Austin County, Texas, then in the surrounding region - that these scented candles were excellent! As demand increased, a larger line of scents and colors were developed. Experimentation with various waxes led to the perfect blend of soy and paraffin. This blend brings out the best qualities of each type of wax. It creates candles that are attractive, and burn clean and evenly. They are very long-lasting, and each one holds its scent until the end.

On January 11, 2011, Cat Spring Candles LLC was sold to the current owner. The company moved from Cat Spring, Texas to the Brenham area of Washington County. We continue to produce the unique blend of colors and scents that were already developed and widely known, and we also frequently experiment and bring new scents into our line. That personal, home-made process continues in an effort to maintain the highest quality scented candles possible. In addition, we are transitioning to suppliers who provide the best, “Clean Scent Oils”. This means they are free of potentially hazardous chemicals that are often found in fragrance oils. Most of our candles are now infused with essential oils rather than synthetic ones, and we will continue the search for alternative oils for every scent we offer. We want to provide you with candles that are as clean and safe as possible. And, our wicks are cotton blends - No lead wicks!

Please note that all scent descriptions are in the "Our Scents" area of the website, but only the ones that are currently being poured will be available as selections in the dropdown boxes in our online store. Scents will change seasonally. Special requests, such as candles for weddings and other special events, fundraisers, or bulk orders (including out-of-season scents) can be considered.
